Directorate-General for State Assets
The Directorate-General for State Assets is responsible for the general administration of national heritage assets and for coordinating public sector contracts under the terms established in the regulatory provisions, by exercising the following duties:
- Administration, commercial use, defence, research, inventory and other actions set out in the regulations on national assets.
- Construction, conservation, restoration and repair of government buildings and other buildings for which it is responsible. The conservation of real estate heritage. Authorising, processing and managing the contract proceedings and expenditure on such work. Coordinating and optimising the use of government buildings, and appraisal and expert consultation on acquisitions, divestments, exchanges and leases of national assets. Coordination and supervision of the exercise of the technical discretionary powers of the Special Delegations of Economy and Finance and the Cadastral Register.
- Drawing up proposals for regulations relating to public sector contracts, and the reports and agreements to be submitted for consideration to the bodies of the Administrative Contracting Advisory Board.
- Processing contractor classification files, updating the Official Bidders' Registry and classified government companies, updating the Registry of Public Sector Contracts and supporting the Administrative Contracting Advisory Board in the performance of its duties relating to the Senior Committee on Government Contract Prices.
- Managing, processing and reporting on matters related to national shareholdings and interests in commercial companies, and the commercial and industrial activities of the public sector.
- Coordinating the introduction of electronic contracting, promoting the interoperability of the applications in collaboration with the Senior e-Government Committee and managing the Government Procurement Platform.

- The Government's Administrative Contracting Advisory Board.
