Electronic Administration must be reliable so that citizens carry out their corresponding processes through same with absolute security and trust. For this reason, Royal Decree 3/2010, of 8 January, regulating the National Security Framework within the e-government scope, determined by Article 156 of Law 40/2015, of 1 October, on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector, seeks to strengthen confidence on the basis of which the information systems provide services and manage information in accordance with the functional specifications, without interruption or modification beyond control and ensuring that information does not come into the knowledge of unauthorised persons.

The Information Security Policy is the reference framework intended to contribute to the definition, management, administration and implementation of security mechanisms and procedures established by virtue of Royal Decree 3/2010 of 8 January.

Order HFP/873/2021, of 29 July, approved the information security policy in the field of the digital administration of the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration.

Furthermore, the Resolution of 21 December 2015 regulates the security policy for the information systems of the State Secretariat of Budgets and Expenditure and for the General Intervention of the State Administration.
